infraRed Sound

About

Built by djlp.

infraRed Sound is a hand-built sound system made in Edmonton by Lorien Partridge, better known in the scene as djlp. After decades of DJing and dancing in rooms where the music deserved better, he built the system he wanted to hear: one made for electronic music rather than adapted to it.

The cabinets are slim, so the rig delivers big sound without eating the dance floor. Internal components are imported from Europe. The built-in lightboxes light the room and prevent people from resting drinks on any part of the system. The light colour can be changed.

No two rooms sound alike, so the system is measured and tuned for each venue it plays using current sound-optimizing technology. The result is clean, full-range sound that makes people dance.
